30/06/2022 CHAIN Project meeting in Berlin hosted by TERRE DES FEMMES

On the 21st of May, TERRE DES FEMMES welcomed in Berlin 27 Community Trainers and the project workers from the CHAIN partner organizations ActionAid Italia (Italy), Save a Girl Save a Generation (Spain) and Equipop (France) for a meeting aiming to building sustainable links between the activists from communities affected by female genital mutilation (FGM) and early and forced marriage (EFM) in different countries.

During the past few months, the End FGM EU Advocacy team has been working closely in cooperation with DG JUST Gender Equality Unit on the preparation of the Recommendation on Preventing Harmful Practices.

Wassu Gambia Kafo and Wassu Foundation organized the V International Forum on Gender-Based Violence and Harmful Traditional Practices in The Gambia and West Africa

13/04/2022 The Finnish League for Human Rights works to prevent FGM

The Finnish League for Human Rights (FLHR) has worked since 2002 for preventing female genital mutilation (FGM), as well as for raising awareness and change attitudes toward the practice in Finland.

13/04/2022 TERRE DES FEMMES - Awareness raising activities: International Day of Zero Tolerance against FGM

Every year on 06th of February, TERRE DES FEMMES initiates a Germany-wide book campaign to raise awareness on the topic of FGM. The campaign took place in 22 bookstores and libraries spread throughout the whole country. It was reaching out to people who might not have heard of FGM yet but now happen to pass by a table full of books, brochures, and information material in their favourite bookstore.

13/04/2022 MIGS - The FEM-UNITED project and Connect the Dots Campaign

Within the framework of the FEM-UNITED project, MIGS and the Cyprus University of Technology have launched the campaign “Connect the Dots” to raise awareness among front-line professionals, policymakers and the general public on the prevention of femicide and to enable citizens to call on governments, politicians and state institutions to take action.
