On February 6th, 2024, amidst the observance of the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), a significant development unfolded in the European Parliament and The Council. After much anticipation, a political agreement was reached on a directive aimed at combating violence against women and domestic violence (referred to as "The Directive").

In July, AIDOS participated in the Women Deliver Conference in Rwanda, and in September hosted a meeting to develop an e-learning platform for the EU-funded End FGM E-Campus project. The platform will be available online in the first half of 2024!

13/12/2023 The Swiss Federal Council has decided: The continuation of the Swiss network against FGM is secured!

On 22 November, the Federal Council continued supporting the Swiss Network against FGM in Switzerland. This will enable the network to continue its services for protecting and caring for girls and women at risk and those affected.
