    In May, AkiDwA visited 2 schools and delivered presentations on FGM to a total of 160 boys and 120 girls. The organisation also recently launched the CHAIN project in Mallow, County Cork, Ireland. This launch was supported by the Cork Sexual Violence Centre and the Cork Sexual Assault Treatment Unit and attended by over 30 local migrant women.

    AkiDwA Graduation Ceremony

    AkiDwa is hosting a special graduation ceremony for a cohort of women seeking asylum in Ireland, who have been undertaking capacity-building training with AkiDwA over the past few months. The capacity-building training itself has involved a group of thirty-four women who are residing in four Emergency Accommodation Centres in Dublin.

    The project "Men Standing-up for Gender Equality - Amplifying Change" has reached the next phase and taken two important steps in the fight against gender-based violence and FGM/C. Together with the project partners Femme Entraide et Autonomie in Paris and Himilo in Amsterdam, Lessan e.V. in Hamburg has developed a role-playing game.
