12/04/2023 Médicos del Mundo Spain: educational videos for raising awareness

Médicos del Mundo Spain and Médicos del Mundo Spain Navarra created two videos to raise awareness about the struggle to end FGM.

12/04/2023 AWO: trainings to prevent GBV

The African Women’s Organization organised and coordinated the project “Training for Multiplicators to prevent Violence on Women and Girls”, holding trainings in Vienna, Graz and Linz. They also attended the EU “Conference on prevention models to address the demand that fosters trafficking for sexual purposes” organised in Stockholm by the Swedish Minister of Justice Mr. Gunnar Strömmer within the Swedish EU Presidency.

On the 6th of February, AIDOS launched online the animation video Gender transformative approaches to ending Female Genital Mutilation, produced with financial support from the UNFPA-UNICEF Joint Program for the Elimination of Female Genital Mutilation and Spotlight Initiative to Eliminate Violence Against Women and Girls.

On November 29th, AkiDwA launched the 3rd Edition of the FGM Handbook for Healthcare Professionals at Rotunda Hospital in collaboration with the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit.
