Marianne is the new Director of End FGM European Network.

Marianne has worked at GAMS Belgium for the past four years, serving as the Coordinator of the Coordinated Strategies Network against FGM, the Coordinator of the Community of Practice on FGM, and the Coordinator for the Brussels region. In these roles, she has embraced emancipatory, decolonial, and community-based feminist approaches, focused on needs and demands.
Network logics and dynamics have been at the core of her methods and practices.

Marianne holds a master's degree in law, specializing in public law; a master's specialization in gender studies; and a master's degree in political and social sciences, with a specialization in population and development sciences, focusing on development projects and programs.

For the past 10 years, she has dedicated herself to issues of young women's leadership, gender equality, and gender-based violence, particularly FGM.
