TuWezeshe Akina Dada - Working with our fellows

TuWezeshe Fellowship

The TuWezeshe Fellowship is a leadership and mentoring program for young women from FGM affected communities working to end FGM. As part of the international TuWezeshe Akina Dada Spotlight programme led by FORWARD, the End FGM European Network is coordinating the 6-month fellowship launched this summer. 

We received many applications for the TuWezeshe Akina Dada- Leadership & Fellowship Programme 2021, and throughout the months of September and October the Fellows received their trainings and were guided in developing their very own Social Action Research, which involved desk review and conducting interviews with FGM affected communities residing in each Fellow’s country. The Fellows’s findings, inputs and recommendations will be all included in the programme’s final report. Next year we will be holding advocacy meetings for fellows to present their works are being planned
