Réparons l’excision launches new website

Réparons l’excision, one of our new members that joined the End FGM European Network in June, just launched its new website! This new page provides clear and accessible information to help survivors find the care and resources they need.

Réparons l’excision is a French association with distinctive legal status founded in 2022 by Dr. Sarah Abramowicz, the same visionary person behind the hospital unit for the care of FGM survivors at the Intercommunal Hospital Center André Grégoire in Montreuil. It complements the hospital’s unit Unité de prise en charge des femmes victimes de mutilations sexuelles féminines” (care unit for women victims of female genital mutilation), creating a truly multidisciplinary and comprehensive approach to recovery and empowerment.

The association’s new website is interactive and serves as a hub for information, resources, and updates on its projects aiming to approach FGM through the lens of psycho-social support, so that survivors reclaim their womanhood with or without surgical support.

The non-medical focus areas of Réparons l’excision cover crucial issues regarding the multidisciplinary care of patients. Click here if you want to learn more about the services offered to patients.

In addition, Réparons l’excision includes specific training opportunities for professionals with legal, healthcare, medical and social work expertise. Click here if you want to learn more.

This new development will help to engage the public and strengthen collaboration across Europe.

End FGM EU proposes to explore their work, starting by listening to their podcast Répares les vivantes.
