Pharos: a series of webinars on female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C)

This year Pharos organized a series of webinars on female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C). In each webinar, they highlighted a different theme in collaboration with national experts.

The series webinars were titled:

  1. Asylum related to FGM/C
  2. Care for women with FGM/C
  3. Legal aspects of FGM/C
  4. Prevention: identifying and reporting on FGM/C
  5. Talking about FGM/C, in care and prevention

All webinars were freely accessible upon registration. The events had several hundred participants and many more views on our YouTube channel. Participants came from different sectors: practising communities, key persons, healthcare professionals, legal professionals, policy officers, prevention workers.

Because there is so much interest in the webinars, Pharos will continue with this formula next year. The first webinar of 2022 will be about key persons.
