2025 Knowledge Sharing Event: June 20

The theme of this year Knowledge Sharing Event (KSE) will be "Countering anti-rights narratives and the instrumentalisation of FGM". This event aims to foster the transfer of knowledge and good practices in other members’ contexts and increase their promotion at the regional level.

Over the past few years, the annual Knowledge Sharing Event (KSE) has become an important component of our collective work. In 2023 and 2024, we introduced a pilot initiative to sub-grant the organisation of the KSE through an open call for proposals. As a result, the 2023 and 2024 editions were successfully led by Médicos del Mundo and TERRE DES FEMMES, respectively. These experiences have proven to be highly valuable, and we are committed to continuing and strengthening this participatory approach.

This year, the Knowledge Sharing Event will take place in Brussel on the 20th of June 2025, the day after the General Assembly of the Network. Throughout the day, we will engage in collective reflection on how the Network can strategically position itself in response to anti-rights narratives. Within the Advocacy Working Group and broader policy discussions, a clear need has emerged for consistent and coordinated messaging when facing the political instrumentalisation of FGM. The End FGM EU Secretariat will lead a session on this theme and is currently developing tools to support common advocacy efforts.

However, we also welcome contributions from our members!
