Vantaan Nicehearts ry was established in 2001. It produces activities for women and girls. Its basis is in encouraging women and girls to act independently and to find their own interests and skills. Spending time together and changing thoughts has an important role for ending female genital mutilation (FGM).
Vantaan Nicehearts participated in Euronet-FGM Daphne II project which aimed at establishing national action plans against FGM. By participating in this project Nicehearts will be able to continue the dissemination of the findings of that project nationally and in Europe.
