Who we are

Dr. Christine Loudes

Dr. Christine Loudes is the campaign director. She oversees the running of the campaign, acts as the spokesperson of the campaign and is responsible for project and financial management.

Christine is a human rights lawyer with five years’ experience of advocacy and lobbying European institutions. She was the policy director at the European region of International Lesbian and Gay Association. Prior to that, she worked in Northern Ireland for the Human Rights Commission as an investigation officer.

Ms. Katja Svensson

Ms. Katja Svensson is the advocacy officer. She is responsible for liaising with all stakeholders, drafting and lobbying policy papers and developing and adopting a campaign strategy.

Katja has a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Kent at Brussels. She has worked on gender, development and security issues within a wide range of professional settings, including academic institutions, the UN, policy firms and NGOs. Her international experience stems from working in Belgium, Sweden, China, Liberia, Burundi and Tanzania.

Ms. Prerna Humpal

Ms. Prerna Humpal is the media and networks officer. She is responsible for the development and implementation of the communication strategy for the campaign and is the main point of contact for partner organisations.

Prerna has a Masters degree in International Peace Studies from Trinity College Dublin. Prior to joining the END FGM campaign team, Prerna worked with the Communications team in Amnesty International Ireland. She also gained practical experience within the media through her work in a television news channel in India.

Ms. Nadja Dumann

Ms. Nadja Dumann is the campaign administrator. Her primary responsibilities include financial and other administrative support to the campaign and logistic support for organisation of events.

She has a Bachelors degree in International Studies. Nadja worked as a Human Rights Observer in Guatemala in 2008. She has also worked in the Immigration Dept of Canadian Embassy for many years and is interested in migration issues.
